How to get to the lab:

The lab is located at the University of Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany. You can find us in the southern part of the university campus in the building Pre-clinical Medicine (see detailed campus map) on the first floor of building VKL1 in rooms 1 1.31 and 1 1.06a (offices) and 1 1.05 (lab).

By train:

Regensburg Main Station can be reached by both regional and high-speed trains. For more information please refer to Deutsche Bahn. Upon arriving you can reach the lab either walking or by bus or cab. Walking to the campus which is located south of the train station takes approx. 30min. Bus lines 2b, 6 and 11 and campusLINE C1 and C6 will take you to the university campus and operate at frequent intervals. The nearest bus stops are: An der Kreuzbreite, Universität Mensa, and Otto-Hahn-Strasse. For more information on public transport please visit the webpage of Regensburger Verkehrsverbund. If you own a BahnCard and have bought a long-distance train ticket into Regensburg, you can use all buses free of charge (you can find a small note CityTicket on your railway ticket).

Arriving by car:

Regensburg is located at the motorways A3 and A93. Arriving on A3 from direction Frankfurt/Nuremberg or direction Passau/Vienna, please take the exit 100a Universität/Klinikum. Arriving from Nuremberg, turn right onto Franz-Josef-Strauss-Allee and then right onto Galgenbergstrasse. After crossing the motorway, turn left into Josef-Engert-Strasse, which is where you probably want to park your car. Arriving from Passau, exit the motorway and turn right onto Galgenbergstrasse. After 50m you will find Josef-Engert-Strasse on your left.

IMPORTANT: Please only park your car in the designated areas and beware of the small white signs (which say in German: reserved parking for employees), the University is very active in towing cars on the campus. If you are not sure where to park your car safely, you can use the underground car parks free of charge.

Please find a detailed map of the university campus here. Our lab is located on the first floor of building VKL1 (campus map).
